《Three-character Scripture for Shortcut to Chinese Learning》

    As a primary textbook, A Crash Chinese Course: Newly Compiled Three-Character-Scripture is written specially for Chinese beginners.

    Old Three-Character-Scripture is a famous and popular reading for Chinese beginners, both in the past and at present, reputed as a masterpiece of traditional Chinese culture. Now, in order to help foreigners learn Chinese, a Newly Compiled Three-Character-Scripture is created in the same way, simple and easy to learn with remarkable results in Chinese character memory and crash Chinese learning.

Learning Content
    This course contains 360 common Chinese characters in manner of a group of three characters, a sentence (lesson) of two groups, and a chapter of three sentences (lessons) with total 20 chapters and 60 sentences (lessons). At the same time, nearly 3000 relevant Chinese characters are introduced in the explanation of each Chinese character.

Compiling Method
    The Chinese characters as selected in this course are compiled by means of contrast, congener, shape close, radical and various association methods, simple and easy to understand and memorize. Special attention to level and oblique tones makes it catchy to read these Chinese characters. In addition, ten levels of styles from the shallower to the deeper are used to the explanation of each Chinese character.
    The course is compiled in English-Chinese, and students are required to learn the words and characters marked with Chinese Pinyin.

Learning Style
    Each character in this course has its detailed explanation in accordance with the following ten styles:

  1. Picture: picture of each character and pictures related
  2. Typeface: eight kinds of common Chinese typefaces including the contrast of running hand with cursive script and original Chinese characters.
  3. Explanation: various acceptation of each character.
  4. Group Word: common group words of each character, including prefixal and suffixal group words.
  5. Shape Close: characters with close shape to each character, for example: “土士” and “大太犬”.
  6. Homophone: homophones of each character, for example: “风疯封”and “天田甜”.
  7. Phrase: prevalent phrases of each character, including common phrases and two-part allegorical saying
  8. Idiom: common four-character-idiom of each character.
  9. Congener: characters within the same class of each character, for example, “马羊驴”of “牛” and “江湖海”of “河”, as well as antonym of each character
  10. Related Word: related words of each character with comprehensive application, including place names, special words, and other paraphrases.

Learning Method
    Due to a crash Chinese course for Chinese beginners, it is recommended that students will make a step-by-step schedule in accordance with their own time and strength.
    It is necessary to divide the learning process into the following four steps or four levels, and each level is the objective of each step.

Level I: Reading Aloud Only
    Students are required to read aloud the part of the course with Chinese Pinyin, and have a primary understanding of acceptation gradually. It is unnecessary to rush to systemic learning in acceptation, pronunciation, and character. After perfect training, students are proposed to read aloud the whole part of the course without Chinese Pinyin.

Level II: Grouping Recitation
    Students are required to recite the whole 20 chapters of the course. At the same time, they are proposed to understand the explanation of each Chinese character by reference to the English part of the course, as well as read the picture, typeface and explanation of each character. It is necessary to understand the meaning of each character, distinguish the writing style of each character and its typefaces of all kinds, pronounce each character correctly, and recite the grouping characters fluently. Those who complete this level are considered to meet the basic teaching requirements of the course, and can continue to study the next two levels slowly.

Level III: Acceptation Understanding
    In the process of further recitation, students will better understand and memorize the text of the course by combining the explanation of each character and referring to the introduction of each lesson. Students are required to have a clear understand of each character, grasp the writing style of each character, distinguish homophones, and learn related phrases and idioms by studying “Group Word”, “Shape Close”, “Homophone”, “Phrase” and “Idiom” in this step. This step belongs to an advanced step.

Level IV: Application of Chinese Character
    On the basis of the study above, students are required to study the last two explanations, “Congener” and “Related Word”. They will learn and memorize all 360 characters of the text again and again, have some knowledge of nearly 3000 Chinese characters in the explanation and grasp the use of group words, phrases and idioms so as to be able to use words to make sentences and apply the Chinese characters they learnt to spoken and written expression.

    Students may, according to their own situation, complete this course in a short time or in 60 days by one sentence one day. After completion of this course, students can join the further study of SHK business Chinese series textbooks and they will surely succeed in it. This course can be used solely or simultaneously with SHK business Chinese series textbooks.

《汉语快学三字经》

    汉语快学三字经是为速学汉语者而编写的基础教材。学习对象为中文初学者。
    中国有古老而著名的《三字经》,是中国古代和现代人必学的文化启蒙经典文章。现为了帮助人们学习汉语,参照中国传统的《三字经》将常用汉字按三字一组的方式编写了《汉语快学三字经》。简单易学,学了就会,对快速学习和记忆汉字有着十分明显的效果。

学习内容
    《汉语快学三字经》共收录最常用的汉字360个,三字一组,两组一句(讲),三句(讲)一章,共20章60句(讲)。同时在每字的讲解中介绍关联汉字近3000个。

编写方式
    《汉语快学三字经》对收录的汉字采用了对比、同类、形近、偏旁等方法和各种联想方式进行编写组织,分门别类,易懂易记。并注意发音的平仄协调,读起来朗朗上口。同时对每个汉字的讲解采用了10个层次的循序渐进、由浅到深的讲解体例。
编写语言采用以英中双语,凡标注汉语拼音的词和字是要求学员学习的。

学习体例
    《汉语快学三字经》里每个字都有详细讲解,按照如下10个体例顺序。

  1. 图片Picture:每个字的图片和相关图片。
  2. 字体Typeface:每个字的8种常用中文字体,包括书写中常用的行书以及和草书、繁体字的对比。
  3. 释义Explanation :每个字的多种词义解释。
  4. 组词Group word :每个字的常用组词,包括前缀词组和后缀词组。
  5. 形近字Shape Close:每个字相近的字。如"土士"、"大太犬"。
  6. 同音字Homophone:每个字同音的字。如"风、疯、封"、"天、田、甜"。
  7. 熟语Phrase:每个字的流行熟语。包括常用的惯用语和歇后语。
  8. 成语Idiom:每个字的常用四字成语。
  9. 同类词congeners :每个字的同一类别范围内的词汇。如"牛"的"马、羊、驴"。"河"的"江、湖、海",也包括反义词等。
  10. 相关词Related word:每个字的综合应用的相关词汇。包括地名、专用词、其它释义词等。

学习方法
    《汉语快学三字经》是中文学习的快速入门方式,学习方法要循序渐进,学员可根据自己的时间和精力可快可慢安排学习进度。
学习过程要分以下阶段即4个级别。每个级别都是学习的阶段目标。

第Ⅰ级:朗读阶段,要求会念即可。
    按照《汉语快学三字经拼音》朗读。顺其自然初步了解词义。不必急于系统学习词义,学习汉语发音,识别三字经汉字。熟练以后朗读没有拼音的《汉语快学三字经全文》。

第Ⅱ级:背诵阶段,要求按组背诵。
    本三字经共20章,要逐章背诵下来。背诵的同时,参照《汉语快学三字经英文》了解每个汉字的释义,阅读每字讲解的图片、字体、释义三个内容。能够知道每个汉字代表的意思,认识字的写法和各种字体,能够正确读出发音,能够按组背诵如流。完成此阶段,即达到《汉语快学三字经》的基本教学要求,后面两级可慢慢深造。

第Ⅲ级:理解阶段,要求理解词义。
    在继续背诵的过程中,结合每个字的讲解,参照各讲内容介绍,深入理解和记忆三字经正文内容。本阶段要学习"组词"、"形近字"、"同音字"、"熟语"和"成语"五部分体例,对每个汉字要有透彻的了解,要学会书写,学会辨别同音字,学习相关的熟语和成语。本阶段为高级阶段。

第Ⅳ级:应用阶段,要求使用汉字。
    在前面学习的基础上,继续学习"同类词"和"相关词"最后两个体例,要反复学习和记忆正文360字,要了解讲解中出现的近3000个汉字,要学会使用出现的词组、熟语和成语,要能够灵活的组词造句,把所学的汉字应用在口语和书写中。

    本三字经学习可根据学员个人情况,可突击一段时间学完,也可一天学一句,60天学完。本三字经学完后可进入SHK商务汉语系列教材继续学习,将会非常顺利。本三字经可单独学习,也可与SHK商务汉语系列教材同时学习。
