In order to improve the quality and skills of our business Chinese teachers, and to ensure the highest quality of teaching, all teachers are required to participate in the training course organized by the SHK head office of the Confucian Business School.

     This training is necessary for those teachers who have no direct experience in teaching Chinese as a second language, and for those who have not had the chance to gain experience with the language of business. Most especially, network teaching will be a new experience for all our new staff, so they must join this training if they wish to improve their teaching skills and so improve their reputation and rating, enabling them in turn to attract more foreign students.

    All applicants who want to become business Chinese teachers must pass the SHK teacher proficiency test; this exam adopts an open-book approach, to make it possible for teachers to really grasp the new training methods and gain experience with the text-books on offer.

    At present, two different training methods have been decided upon, these being correspondence training and classroom training, of these, correspondence training will be the primary method.

    Correspondence training: Teachers who participate in this course should study the 36 SHK Lessons on Business Chinese Teacher Training textbook, and make full use of the exercises and practices in the book. When they are confidant that they have grasped the skills and knowledge they will require, they can take the SHK open-book exam for the position of business Chinese teacher. Those who pass will be qualified to become a SHK teacher.

    Classroom training: SHK head office will hold teacher training courses in those areas where there is a sufficient concentration of prospective business Chinese teachers to warrant the investment. Experienced teachers will be assigned to lead an intensive training course. The course will use 36 SHK Lessons on Business Chinese Teacher Training as it's textbook, and will consist of six three-hour lessons. Once training is complete, all applicants will sit the required SHK Business Chinese teacher exam, those who pass the exam will be awarded the SHK teacher qualification.

    Training fee: The combined course and textbook fee is $100, or 1200 yuan, and will be deducted from the teacher's pay if they are hired by SHK. Those who fail the required exam, or who are not retained as teachers, will not be required to make any payment.

    Training textbook: 36 SHK Lessons on Business Chinese     Teacher Training, and SHK Handbook on Business Chinese Teaching.
    36 SHK Lessons on Business Chinese Teacher Training will be used for online study with the Confucian Business School. The SHK Handbook on Business Chinese Teaching will be issued when to teachers when they first sign up.

    36 SHK Lessons on Business Chinese Teacher Training is required reading for all teachers of Confucian Business School. It has 6 lessons in 6 unites, a total of 36 lessons, and is a reference book for business Chinese teachers to be used for group training or for self-study. It explains all matters related to the teaching of business Chinese in a simple, though concise, way. Through the systematic study of the courses offered, teachers can boost their knowledge of the theory of teaching, improve the quality and practicality of their own teaching, and in so doing boost their own confidence, and experience the satisfaction and respect that will come with true achievement within their chosen field.

    为了提高孔子商学院商务汉语教师素质，保证教学质量，凡参加SHK商务汉语教学的教师皆需接受孔子商学院SHK总部的培训。

    因为大部份教师都没有直接培训外国人的经历，也没有接触过商务汉语，尤其是在网络上进行教学更是新生事物，所以接受培训是必要的，只有胸有成竹才能更好的进行教学，接受更多的国外学员。

    凡报名参加商务汉语教师者均要通过教师能力考核。考核采取发放考核题库开卷考试的方式，目的是让教师们真正的掌握培训方法和教学经验。
    目前确定的教师培训方式有函训和面训两种，以函授方式为主。

    函授培训：接受培训的教师请详学《SHK商务汉语教师培训36讲》培训教材，练习考核题库，确认掌握后参加SHK商务汉语教师任职开卷考核，考核通过者授予SHK教师资格。（函授培训期为一个月，考核期为三天）。

    面授培训：SHK总部在商务汉语教师集中的地区开办商务汉语教师培训班。SHK总部派遣富有经验的教师，对商务汉语师资进行强化培训，教材为《SHK商务汉语教师培训36讲》。共六次授课，18个课时。培训后参加SHK商务汉语教师任职考核，考核通过者授予SHK教师资格。

     培训费用：函授及培训教材费用为100美元，在接受教学业务后从课酬中扣缴。没有接受教学业务和考核不合格者不交纳该培训费用。面授及教材费用为1200元人民币。

    《SHK商务汉语教师培训36讲》教材于孔子商学院SHK教学网站在线学习，《SHK商务汉语教学手册》于教师报名时发放。
    《SHK商务汉语教师培训36讲》是孔子商学院的师资必修教材，分六单元每单元6讲共36讲，是商务汉语教师集体培训和自学培训的工具书。本教材对商务汉语教学中涉及各方面事项进行了深入浅出的讲解。教师通过对各项课程的系统学习，将进一步提高教学理论知识，提高自身教学修养和教学水平，强化汉语教师的各项教学技能，熟练掌握各种课型的特点与教学方法。
